Originally from Brittany, Arnaud Laly is a French artist and designer whose precise yet instinctive style combines geometry and emotion. After studying applied arts in Rennes, he moved to Paris where he became Artistic Director at a major global design agency. This immersion in architecture and graphic design refined his vision, structured his approach and naturally led him towards a personal artistic adventure. Returning to his native land, he now lives and works in his studio in Plouhinec, in southern Finistère, facing the sea that feeds his inspiration. His instantly recognisable style is based on three essential elements: line, geometry and colour. These three forces interact, intertwine and balance each other. Inspired by Art Deco, Cubism and the Memphis movement, Arnaud Laly constructs works where the abstract flirts with the figurative, where each glance reveals a new form, a new emotion. In each of his works, lines become breath, blue evokes thought, and colour speaks.
