Eddy Vitalone is a French artist born in 1984 in Moulins. After studying applied arts with a focus on object design, he spent five years training at the Clermont-Ferrand School of Fine Arts in the Applied Arts department. He is a member of the Musée de L’Art en Marche in Lapalisse and has a permanent exhibition at the Galerie des Quatre Coins in Roanne.
Drawing inspiration from his surroundings, Eddy Vitalone likes to take liberties with the concepts he was taught. He has great admiration for the creators of the 1970s and 1980s, neon colors, and new media. Inspired by Pop Art and great masters such as Picasso and Miró, he offers us raw, intuitive, and colorful paintings.
With humor and poetry, he depicts caricatured, stereotypical characters and animals. The often luminous and shimmering colors of his characters create a strong visual impact. He has recently begun using a brand-new medium: Plexiglas. Painted on both sides with acrylic and spray paint, its thickness accentuates the depth and vivid hues characteristic of his colorful palette.
