Between classical heritage and contemporary flashes
Davide Ricchetti is an alchemist of colour and time. Born in Italy, he draws his inspiration from the perfection of ancient forms and the vibrant power of contemporary pop culture.
In his work, marble statues come back to life under layers of electric colours — blue, pink, orange — as if art history were being reinvented in the light of the 21st century.
Trained in the rigour of drawing and the freedom of pictorial gesture, Ricchetti has developed a unique language: a fusion of classicism and modernity, rigour and emotion, memory and movement. His works dialogue with the past while speaking to the present, creating a bridge between the eternity of myth and the transience of our digital age.
Each canvas is an exploration of beauty, an almost spiritual quest where form becomes vibration and light becomes living matter.
Behind the brilliance of the colours lies a meditation on identity, the body, memory and the trace of the divine in everyday life.
Davide Ricchetti transforms our gaze: he invites us to see differently, to feel the silent power of the figures of yesterday in the chromatic tumult of today.
