With Alice, Sébastien Allart captures a moment of suspended grace. The female figure, stretched out, seems to defy gravity in a movement that is both powerful and fragile. The body leans forward, opens up, surrenders—and in this surrender, tension is born.
The nervous, instinctive lines do not seek anatomical perfection but vibration. The lines intersect, overlap, and accumulate until the form emerges. The drawing becomes pure energy. The splashes of ink and gray transparencies prolong the gesture and give the movement an almost musical resonance.
