Eugène Debbane

I salvage metal board from streets, attics, junk yards,
I scratch paint, etch metal, reveal hidden images beneath the rust and cracked surfaces.
My creations often bare the look of traditional engravings, a brutal industrial feel, and carry a definitive street art spirit.

Eugène Debbane, born in Lebanon in 1973, is a multidisciplinary artist known for his raw, industrial works. He explores the intersection of painting and metal engraving, creating a distinctive visual language grounded in urban and industrial aesthetics.

After illustrating children’s books and contributing to L’Orient-Le-Jour throughout his early years, Eugène graduates from the renowned Penninghen school in Paris. Some years an Art Director for advertising agencies, he shifts his focus to fine arts.

His work has been exhibited internationally, including the prestigious Salon d’Automne at the Sursock Museum and Design Diplomacy 2018 at the Lebanese Ambassador’s residence in France.
