In this work, Walter Ciandrini celebrates the closeness and tenderness of a silent bond. Two female figures with elongated faces come together in a narrow, almost symbiotic composition. One leans toward the other, as if moved by a gesture of trust, while their closed eyelids create an atmosphere of intimacy and serenity.
The palette of browns, ochres, bluish grays, and creamy whites lends the scene a warm depth.
