Entre deux Horizons

In this vertical 81 × 60 cm composition, Benoît Lupi presents a seascape suspended between day and night. A vast gradient of blues, shifting from slate grey to luminous cobalt, envelops the scene in a deep and contemplative atmosphere. Along the horizon, a delicate coral band underscored by a fine golden line creates a radiant threshold between sky and sea.

Reduced to their essential forms, the white sailing boats punctuate the silent expanse. Their slender masts introduce a strong vertical rhythm, while their reflections extend into the water, enhancing the impression of depth. The contrast between the warm horizon and the cool blue palette lends the composition a subtle intensity.
