Giasone

In this work by Davide Richetti, an heroic figure inspired by classical antiquity unfolds within a vibrant pictorial universe. Rendered in intense shades of blue and turquoise, the character retains the sculptural strength and solemnity of classical imagery, while the surrounding space bursts into areas of pink, yellow, orange, lavender and green.

The composition is built upon a striking contrast between precise figurative drawing and freely applied painterly gestures.
